Measuring progress and performance; detecting obstacles |
||||
Both progress toward organizational goals and an organization's performance on behalf of its customers are eminently worth measuring. Measuring progress toward goals permits the organization to do course corrections when necessary. Measuring performance on behalf of customers demonstrates value, and can also make the organization aware of unexpected difficulties and obstacles that must be overcome. |
